Alejandra Vega

Alejandra Vega is a Psychologist, a PhD candidate in Psychology, and a faculty member of the Department of Psychology at the University of Atacama, Chile. She holds a Master's degree in Family Therapy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a Postgraduate degree in Family and Couple Therapy from the Chilean Institute of Family Therapy. Additionally, she has completed several diplomas, including in Research Methodology in Social Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso and in Suicidology at the University of Manizales.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Alejandra specializes in topics related to mental health, social exclusion, and suicidality, with a particular focus on children and families. Her expertise covers areas such as severe rights violations, addictions in children and adolescents, and other related issues.

Her research areas are mental health and human development; social transformations and community.

Her academic and research work focuses on understanding and addressing these issues from a comprehensive perspective.
