Dra. Daniela Accatino

Daniela Accatino Scagliotti is a lawyer (University of Chile) and holds a PhD in Law (University of Granada). She is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences at the Austral University of Chile. 

She has been a visiting researcher at University College London and a guest lecturer at various national and international universities. She serves on the Board of the Chilean Society of Legal and Social Philosophy. 

Her publications and research projects focus on legal epistemology and judicial evidence, the relationship between judicial processes and historical memory, and justice in the face of systematic human rights violations. She is a member of the editorial board of "Quaestio Facti: International Journal on Evidential Legal Reasoning" and editor of the website http://www.expedientesdelarepresion.cl, which provides a public archive of court rulings on crimes against humanity committed during the Chilean dictatorship (1973–1990).
