Jacqueline Vega is a political scientist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with a minor in Social Anthropology. Her studies have focused on human rights, interculturality, and the strengthening of international protection systems, with a gender perspective.
She worked as an intern at the Jesuit Migrant Service, where she contributed to legislative monitoring and research on human mobility, applying both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. She completed her professional internship in the Human Rights Division of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participating in monitoring the universal human rights system and in Chile’s remote delegation during the CEDAW Committee review.
Her research has focused on gender studies, addressing femicide and the intersection between the human rights of women and indigenous peoples. Her interdisciplinary training combines tools from political science and anthropology, emphasizing qualitative methodologies, an international outlook, and critical frameworks for studying inequalities.
