Ivania Alvarado is a Psychology student at Universidad Austral de Chile and is currently working on her thesis as part of the Millennium Nucleus Data Justa’s case study on attempted femicide, under the supervision of Adjunct Researcher PhD. Daniela Zúñiga.
Her research examines the incorporation of an intersectional perspective into support and services for victims of attempted femicide, with particular attention to how different social dimensions may shape victims’ experiences and institutional responses to this form of violence.
Through this work, she seeks to contribute to a more situated understanding of victim support by incorporating a perspective that recognizes the diversity of experiences and needs involved in processes of assistance and institutional response.
