Constanza Meléndez Paiva is a Sociology student at Universidad de La Frontera. Her main academic interests are related to gender studies and the contemporary transformations of violence in digital environments.
She is currently working on her thesis toward a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, focusing on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence, with particular attention to the phenomenon of the manosphere. Her research is supervised by Dra. Francisca Fonsecafrom Universidad de La Frontera and Dr. Oriana BernasconiPrincipal Researcher of the Millennium Nucleus Data Justa.
Through this research, she seeks to contribute to a better understanding of the forms that gender-based violence takes in digital spaces, examining the discourses, practices, and dynamics that emerge in these environments and their implications for the analysis of gender inequalities.
