Millennium Research Nucleus on State Production and Use of Data on Severe Human Rights Violations -DATA JUSTA NCS2024_69
The Millennium Nucleus on the production and use of information on victims of human rights violations – DATA JUSTA is a collaborative research project funded by the Millennium Scientific Initiative of the National Research and Development Agency ANID, hosted at the Alberto Hurtado University, with the collaboration of the Diego Portales University, Austral University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
This Millennium Nucleus seeks to link graduates and students from the fourth year of university as research assistants, to support the project in the areas of research and management. Start date: second half of April 2025.
DATA JUSTA, through critical theories and working with a multi-sited ethnography of the State, will analyze the knowledge that the State produces about contemporary human rights violations and how that knowledge shapes the responses it offers to victimized citizens.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Be a regular student (from the 4th year of the degree) or graduate of a Social Sciences degree: Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Social Work, Psychology, Law, etc.
- Soft skills, including teamwork, effective communication, and adaptability.
- To be committed and flexible in the tasks assigned by the research directors.
- Skills for working and communicating in multidisciplinary teams.
- Handling of qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies.
DESIRABLE ELEMENTS
- Knowledge of Human Rights issues.
- Proficiency in the English language.
A Confidentiality Agreement must be signed at the start of the period.

SELECTION CRITERIA
The selection of assistants will be carried out taking into account the following criteria:
- The weighted average accumulated during the career.
- Knowledge in handling research methodologies as indicated in your CV.
- Proficiency in another language will be considered a desirable, though not essential, condition.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee. The Committee will determine the number of assistants selected.
